Interstates' 2025 Year in Community Impact
2025 has been an incredible year for making a difference in our communities! This is the first year Interstates has recorded a service project in every month, demonstrating our continued dedication to serving whenever possible. Here are this year's quick stats:
- All 12 months had at least one volunteer opportunity at various offices.
- All 15 of our locations reached out about some type of volunteer activity in 2025.
- Ronald McDonald House was the most visited organization at the most locations.
- We cumulatively volunteered over 1,350 hours, and have had close to 850 volunteers.
- Our largest projects occurred at PM Excellence (200 volunteers putting together weekend food bags for local children) and Design Services Week (170 volunteers putting together bikes for a local Boys and Girls Club).
Spreading Holiday Cheer at the Local Level
Additionally, our offices have been busy serving numerous organizations this holiday season. The Interstates Foundation offers a financial donation of $2,000 for an organization of each office's choice when coupled with a donation drive or volunteer opportunity. Overwhelmingly, the majority of our offices chose a food pantry during a nationwide time of need during the government shutdown/SNAP assistance pause. It was truly incredible seeing so many of our offices step up and provide in each of our communities. Here are some other volunteer opportunities that our offices helped with this year:
- Brainerd, MN Office - this office spent time volunteering at the annual fundraiser for Jacob's Voice, a local organization dedicated to cyberbullying awareness.
- Omaha, NE Office - this office held an epic food donation competition, collecting well over 2,000 pounds! They also volunteered at Open Door Mission for their holiday gift distribution.
- Sioux Falls, SD Office - this office helped the Ronald McDonald House prepare meals for their residents.
- Tulsa, OK Office - Along with three nearby job sites, this office collected donations for local pantries and was able to deliver these before Thanksgiving.
- Lubbock, TX Office - this office had a number of projects, including a kitchen and yard cleanup at the local Ronald McDonald House, volunteering at the local Children's Home Christmas Carnival, and collecting donations for a drive.
- Sioux Center, IA Office - this office wrapped gifts for families as part of Mid-Sioux Opportunity's annual Christmas giving, served at the Hope Food Pantry the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (one of the busiest days of the year), and donated a trunk load of food to the Hope Food Pantry ahead of the holidays.
- Fort Collins, CO Office - this office donated to the local Toys for Tots group to spread holiday cheer for the local children.
- Fort Dodge, IA Office and Des Moines, IA Office - these two offices joined together to volunteer and donate at Upper Des Moines Opportunity at the beginning of December.
- Manhattan, KS Office - this office donated and volunteered at the Flint Hills Breadbasket just before Thanksgiving.
Looking to the New Year & New Opportunities
It's been a wonderful year with a few projects still wrapping up. We applaud all our office locations and their service to their communities—there is so much more that goes on every day in our communities that goes unreported. We're excited to see what's ahead in 2026, and we know our team members are always ready to lend a hand, a dollar, a toy, or a meal in their communities.
