Interstates supported the Town of Wellington with a multi-year expansion of its wastewater reclamation facility to increase treatment capacity for a rapidly growing community. Beginning in 2022 and completing in 2025, the project doubled the plant’s capacity while maintaining operations at the existing facility. Interstates delivered comprehensive electrical construction services, overcoming supply chain delays and workforce constraints through prefabrication, temporary power solutions, and agile scheduling. The project was completed on schedule and under budget, and the facility is designed to allow for future expansion as community needs continue to grow.

Services Provided: Electrical Construction | Prefabrication

Key Scope Components

Electrical Infrastructure Expansion:

Interstates installed new utility services, transformers, service entrance cabinets, switchboards, MCCs,
and automatic transfer switches to support expanded treatment capacity across multiple new facilities

Temporary Power and Schedule Recovery:

To mitigate critical ATS supply chain delays, the team implemented no-cost temporary ATS units, enabling on-time power-up and preventing schedule impacts

Prefabrication and Workforce Optimization:

Extensive prefabrication reduced on-site labor demands, while national travelers supplemented the workforce during tight labor market conditions

Electrical Studies and Safety Compliance:

Interstates completed arc flash and coordination studies to update safety ratings and ensure compliance for new and expanded electrical equipment
