Interstates partnered with Hydro Construction to install a micro hydroelectric turbine at the Fort Collins Water Treatment Plant. This project will help the City of Fort Collins, a long-standing client, get closer to achieving their sustainability goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. The facility accounts for 4.5% of the municipality’s total emissions, and the installation of this micro-hydro unit will reduce the carbon footprint by 1%. As part of this project, Interstates supplied a primary metering cabinet to facilitate the transition from Xcel Energy to Fort Collins Light & Power.
