Interstates played a key role in Sioux Falls’ largest infrastructure project—a $215 million expansion of its water reclamation facility designed to increase capacity from 21 to 30 million gallons per day and support future population growth. The Interstates team led a major electrical upgrade from 5kV to 15kV, maintained continuous plant operations, and introduced redundant power loops to enhance reliability and efficiency. Their use of 3D modeling, prefabrication, and automation upgrades streamlined installation, minimized errors, and improved system visibility. Strong collaboration with city staff and contractors has kept the complex project on track, with completion in early 2025.
