What Is Cash for Causes?
Cash for Causes is a year-round, Interstates program that raises funds to support local, non-profit organizations. Through employee giving, Interstates impacts 52 non-profit organizations each year. With a commitment to promoting community awareness and service among our teams, the program provides team members opportunities to donate, learn and get more involved with great organizations.
Our employee-led committee (FC2) asks for organization nominations twice a year. Our team members are passionate about their work in the office and the community. We encourage them to nominate organizations they're involved with, directly affected by, or are passionate about in any of the communities where Interstates serves.
The program's sponsored organizations change each week. Below are this quarter's recipients:
March
Special Troopers Adaptive Riding School, INC, Iowa
They provide those with disabilities a way to improve their health, by being a part of an animal-orientated program. The program is therapeutic, rehabilitative, and recreational.
Second Chance Depot, Iowa
2nd Chance Depot is a for-profit business that works with ATLAS of Sioux Center. ATLAS and the community of Sioux Center accept donations for gently used furniture and appliances.
Almost Home Canine Rescue, South Dakota
An organization founded in Madison, S.D., but located in Sioux Falls, S.D., they have helped adopt out over 355 dogs and cats across South Dakota and Iowa. They also support pet owners who need assistance keeping their animals at home, rather than having to be brought to a rescue.
Call To Freedom, South Dakota
This organization provides services for victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. They do this through a strong network of frontline providers who offer safe housing, mental health services, medical assistance, chemical dependency help, transportation and other supportive solutions.

Restoration Generation, South Dakota
Restoration Generation hosts events to help men restore their relationships and grow in all areas of life. They also host a RESGEN Youth Leaders Network.
Cub Scout Pack 211, Iowa
The program’s mission is to build character and introduce kids to hobbies, vocation, and civic responsibility. This pack has 25 boys, aged K-5th grade in Sioux Center, IA, community.
Genesis House, Iowa
Genesis House empowers women and children with a new beginning by providing housing and support to those impacted by homelessness and domestic violence.
Good Shepherd Homecare & Hospice, Kansas
This organization provides hospice and home care patients in the Manhattan, KS, area. They use a holistic approach for personalized care for each patient.

Children’s Home Society of South Dakota, South Dakota
Children’s Home Society works to empower children, adults, families, and communities to be safe and healthy. They provide various services such as abuse prevention, adoption and foster care, emergency shelter, and child advocacy.
Sioux County Community Health Partners, Iowa
Community Health Partners works with community schools, businesses, social services, and others to keep the Sioux County community healthy.
The Community Outreach, South Dakota
This Sioux Falls, SD, organization works to share hope and provide families with tools for daily living. They connect people in need to assist in a crisis, improve self-sufficiency and financial stability.
Rock Valley Fire Department, Iowa
The Rock Valley Fire Department works to rescue and protect the Rock Valley community from fires and other emergencies.
SPURS, South Dakota
SPURS, one of the oldest and largest therapeutic horseback riding centers in South Dakota, aims to improve the lives of those with disabilities. From groups to individuals, children to adults, they receive therapy while enjoying horseback riding.
