What Is Cash For Causes?
Cash for Causes is a year-round, Interstates program that raises funds to support local, non-profit organizations. Through employee giving, Interstates impacts 52 non-profit organizations each year. With a commitment to promoting community awareness and service among our employees, the program provides employees with opportunities to donate, learn and get more involved with great organizations.
Our employee-led committee (FC2) asks for organization nominations from employees. Our employees are passionate about the work they do at the office and in the community. We encourage employees to nominate organizations they’re involved with, directly affected by an organization, or are passionate about the organization.
The program’s sponsored organizations change each week. Below are this quarter’s recipients:
January
Brandon Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD)
Since 1958, BVFD has been responding to accidents, fires, rescue and medical calls. They have up to forty certified firefighters, and some are even Certified Emergency Medical Technicians.
Children’s Home Society of South Dakota
Children’s Home Society works to empower children, adults, families and communities to be safe and healthy. They provide various services such as abuse prevention, adoption and foster care, emergency shelter and child advocacy.
Lost&Found
Lost&Found was started to make a difference in the lives of college students facing depression and suicide. Their volunteers at five different campuses help young adults find community to overcome their struggles. They also provide training and skill workshops for stronger community support.
Mission Southside
Mission Southside works in Johnson County, KS, to help meet needs and bring hope to individuals, organizations and businesses.

Le Mars Fire & Rescue
The Le Mars Fire and Rescue team works to minimize the loss of life and property of Plymouth County from fires, natural disasters and other threatening situations. They also provide fire education and training to the community.
Lutheran Social Services
LSS cares for and supports individuals, families and communities with affordable help. They have services for counseling, behavioral health, foster care, financial resources, and much more.
Sioux County Community Health Partners
Community Health Partners works with community schools, businesses, social services, and others to keep the community healthy.
Village Northwest Unlimited
Located in Sheldon, IA, Village Northwest Unlimited serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They help each person achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.

Canton Fire Department
The Canton Fire Department works to protect, rescue and serve the Canton community, not only from fires but other emergencies.
The Community Outreach
This Sioux Falls, SD, organization works to share hope and provide families with tools for daily living. They connect people in need to assist in a crisis, improve self-sufficiency and financial stability.
Sack Pack Program
Sack Pack is a program that offers free, easy meals and snacks for kids on the weekends. Hunger Free Kids of Sioux County and local communities support and utilize the program.
Boy Scouts Troop 208 Orange City
This troop meets weekly to develop character and values-based leadership in young people. Citizenship and service are key parts of this program.
Serve City: The Chosen
Serve City of Hamilton, OH, works to step into the gap to provide food, clothing, shelter, and the ability to be self-sufficient to those in the community who need it.
