You may think of agriculture and Hawkeye football when someone mentions the state of Iowa, but it’s much more than that. US News and World Report recently named Iowa as the top state in their “Best States Rankings”. Some of the areas where Iowa rated in the Top 10 in the nation were: health care (#3), opportunity (#4), education (#5), and quality of life (#9). As I read through the article, it got me thinking about Interstates. I can see Interstates as a leader for some of the same reasons the state of Iowa was chosen as a leader and honored on this list.
Interstates truly cares about investing in and developing employees. Our Innovation Advisor, Lowell, recently shared his thoughts on this very subject – click here to read more. As a company, Interstates strives to provide a family-like environment that puts employees and their families first. Cindy, a Purchasing Assistant, fondly remembers the way her co-workers took care of her when she needed them the most – click here to read her story. Interstates is much more than just a place to work; it’s a family.
