What is Cash for Causes?
Cash for Causes is a year-round, Interstates program that raises funds to support local, nonprofit organizations. Through employee giving, Interstates impacts 52 non-profit organizations each year. With a commitment to promoting community awareness and service among our employees, the program provides employees with opportunities to donate, learn and get more involved with great organizations.
We understand that there are a lot of great causes out there, and twice a year our employee-led committee (FC2) asks for organization nominations from employees. Our employees are passionate about the work they do, at the office and in the community. Those who are directly involved with an organization, or if they’ve been directly affected by the services that one provides, are encouraged to nominate those groups. Employees can still nominate an organization even if they aren’t actively involved with the group.
The program’s sponsored organizations change each week. Below are this quarter’s recipients:
June
Pheasants Forever: Youth Program-Sioux Prairie Chapter
Through habitat improvements, community programs and public awareness, Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife. Their youth program provides opportunities for youth to learn how to be conservation leaders in their communities.
Sioux County Community Health Partners: Healthy Families Program
Community Health Partners works with community schools, businesses, social services, and others to keep the community healthy. Through the Healthy Families Program, expecting or new parent(s) are given guidance and provided resources for raising a family.
Genesis House
Genesis House empowers women and children with a new beginning by providing housing and support to those impacted by homelessness and domestic violence.
Commercial Chaos for a Cure
This unique organization is a group of commercial vehicles driving across Northwest Iowa to raise money and awareness for the June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City, IA.

Whispers of Love, Hope & Joy
This organization provides programs and resources to women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. Through this, they hope to restore dignity, offer hope and empower the survivors.
Sioux County Pulse
A 4-H Livestock Club that focuses on developing the life skills of the community's youth through educational, hands-on experiences.
ATLAS of Sioux Center
With 15 communities nationwide, ATLAS is a faith-based ministry that helps people and communities learn to 'Live Without Limitations'. They offer safe, confidential places to talk, mentor, and develop people who are hurting and discouraged.
Family Life Ministries
This faith-based ministry provides resources and tools to help build stronger homes through marriage and family.
Serve City: The Chosen
With the help of Hamilton, OH area churches, Serve City provides food, clothing, shelter, and the ability to be self-sufficient to those in the community who need it.

Northwest Iowa American Legion Riders (NWIAALR)
The NWIAALR are members of the American Legion who are motorcycle enthusiasts. They not only participate in parades, but they also support, fundraise, and donate to American Legion and other local charities as well as serve as honor guard in military funerals.
Camp High Hopes
Located in Sioux City, IA, Camp High Hopes is a year-round therapeutic recreation camp for youth and adults with diagnosed disabilities, chronic illnesses, and other special needs.
National MS Society
An organization created to support those diagnosed with MS with education programs, support resources, local programs, and medical resources. They also fund research and raise public awareness for MS. The donations are given to the National MS Society awareness walk in Sioux Falls for the cause.
Hope Food Pantry
A food pantry located in Sioux Center, IA dedicated to providing food, personal care products, and clothing items to those in the local community who need it.
