Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) STEP Diamond Award
National Safety Excellence Award
The ABC National Safety Excellence Award recognizes companies who exhibit a continued commitment to jobsite safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP applications, essay questions and video interviews with company Presidents/CEOs/Principals about their corporate safety culture. Award categories are based on a company’s total work-hours per calendar year and placement within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). Excellence in Construction Safety Award Project of the Year (ABC Cornhusker)
The safety award was created to recognize the outstanding commitments towards safety that many of our member companies are making to continually increase their safety culture and achieve world class safety. Some of the criteria our judges used in determining Interstates as the winner was the size of job, the degree of difficulty, length of job, etc. We were recently honored with the ABC Cornhusker Eagle award in the Electrical – Industrial – Less than $2M category for our work on the Tyson Foods – Pepperoni Plant Expansion in Sergeant Bluff, IA.
