It all started when a leadership camp in Northern Minnesota reached out to the Interstates Foundation about a grant to add solar power to their new campus. Included with the application were five pages of technical data sheets. We realized this type of project would be perfect for our engineering team. Fifteen Interstates employees made the trek to Grand Marais, Minnesota where they volunteered their time and expertise to help execute the project. The completed the installation of a donated propane generator, underground wiring, and lighting for fifteen buildings. Our team was thrilled to be involved in planning and preparing for the work, but it was the trip to the camp that really made it memorable.
