Apprenticeships: Creating Tomorrow

Apprenticeship opportunities are creating the workforce and the economy of the future. National Apprenticeship Week is a week-long national celebration that highlights the benefits of apprenticeship in preparing a highly-skilled workforce to meet the talent needs of employers across diverse industries.

At Interstates, we are proud to have our own in-house, Department of Labor Approved Apprenticeship Training program. Training runs year-round and includes field and classroom training. Our apprentices come from across the United States. These apprentices are looking for a way to build a career, while making a living. Many move from where they grew up to come to work for Interstates and travel the country or find a new home at one of our regional office locations. Working in the electrical field can be very rewarding and there are incredible opportunities for growth even as a new apprentice.

Through a unique partnership with Northwest Iowa Community College, Sioux Center Community School District, and Boyden-Hull Community School District, we proudly offer a new Career + Technical Education (CTE) Program. The CTE program gives youth an opportunity to explore a career in electrical technology.

At Interstates, we truly believe in building careers that last. Check out what these apprentices love about Interstates!
