At Interstates, safety is not only our commitment — it is one of the foundations on which we’ve built our business on. In recognition of that commitment, Interstates received a Governor’s Award for Outstanding Achievement from the South Dakota Safety Council (SDSC) on October 2 at the South Dakota Safety & Health Conference in Sioux Falls.
The SDSC awards system is compounded — a company must achieve Meritorious recognition before they can be recognized for Outstanding Achievement, and a company must achieve Outstanding Achievement before they can receive an Award of Honor. In 2018, Interstates received the Governor’s Award for Meritorious Achievement. This year, Interstates continued to demonstrate our commitment to safety by adding Outstanding Achievement to our accomplishments.
Also at the conference, Interstates was recognized by the Sioux Empire Society for Human Resource Management (SESHRM) with a Workplace Excellence Award. The award acknowledges family-friendly companies with a dedicated workforce consistently portraying a strong culture of empowerment and growth. One of our core values at Interstates is creating a collaborative workplace based on trust, integrity, and support.
