Jamie Schmidt Named Among Control Engineering Leaders Under 40

Interstates Companies is pleased to announce that Ms. Jamie Schmidt. P.E. has been named among the Control Engineering Leaders Under 40 class of 2011. Control Engineering Leaders Under 40 is a recognition program to identify and recognize young engineers who have made significant contributions toward the control engineering profession.

“Over the years Jamie has been an integral part of the success of Interstates Control Systems, Inc. and we appreciate her efforts in the control engineering field,” says Jeff White, Engineering Manager, Interstates Control Systems. “Jamie is very deserving of this award and we are excited to see her obtain this level of recognition through Control Engineering in honor of her efforts.”

Jamie earned her B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. She joined Interstates in 1997. She is responsible for various phases of control systems projects, including project estimating, PLC specification, and control panel design layout. Today, she holds the position of Lead Project Engineer. She resides in George, IA with her husband and three children.
